The trim position indicators are designed specifically to show the position of the trim on the aircraft. These indicators provide real-time feedback to the pilot regarding how much trim has been adjusted and in which direction, crucial for maintaining control and stability during flight. Proper use of trim can alleviate control forces on the control stick or yoke, enhancing pilot comfort and reducing fatigue.

While control wheel indicators provide valuable information about control inputs, they do not specifically inform the pilot about the trim position. The flight management system is primarily focused on the navigation and management of flight operations rather than providing direct feedback on trim settings. Rudder sensitivity settings refer to the responsiveness of the rudder, which is important for directional control but does not pertain to the trim indication. Thus, the trim position indicators are the most relevant feature for showing the current trim status on the aircraft.
